Quick answer

Your website should show the same business name, address and phone as your Google profile on every page, have a clear page for each main service with your area in the title, include LocalBusiness schema, answer common questions in an FAQ, load fast on mobile, and link to your Google Maps listing. Link to the site from your Business Profile using a UTM tracking link.

Quick answer: Your website should show the same business name, address and phone as your Google profile on every page, have a clear page for each main service with your area in the title, include LocalBusiness schema, answer common questions in an FAQ, load fast on mobile, and link to your Google Maps listing. Link to the site from your Business Profile using a UTM tracking link.

A website is not required to have a Business Profile — but a good one strengthens relevance and prominence, and gives AI search detailed, trustworthy information about you.

Must-haves

  1. NAP in the footer of every page, exactly matching Google.
  2. Click-to-call and WhatsApp buttons for mobile visitors.
  3. Service pages — one page per main service: "Root Canal Treatment in Satellite, Ahmedabad".
  4. About page — your story, team, years in business.
  5. Contact page — Google Maps embed or link, hours, landmarks.
  6. FAQ page — real customer questions with direct answers.
  7. Photos of your real business.

LocalBusiness schema

Schema is code that tells search engines your business details in a structured way. Add a LocalBusiness (or a specific type such as Dentist, Restaurant, BeautySalon) JSON-LD block in your website's <head> with name, address, phone, URL, hours and map link. Chamko's Rank plan generates this code for your business — copy it to your site or give it to your developer.

Page titles that work

Page Title example
Home Sharma Sweets – Fresh Mithai & Namkeen in Vijay Nagar, Indore
Service Kaju Katli & Dry Fruit Sweets in Indore – Sharma Sweets
Contact Contact Sharma Sweets, Vijay Nagar, Indore – Timings & Directions

Speed and mobile

Most local searchers are on phones and mobile data. Keep pages light: compressed images, no heavy sliders or autoplay videos, readable text without zooming.

Track visits from Google

Set your Business Profile website to a link with UTM parameters, e.g. https://yoursite.in/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=gbp_listing

No website yet?

Start with a single fast page containing your name, address, phone, WhatsApp, hours, services, photos, FAQs and map link. It is far better than nothing.

Example page title and heading formulas

  • Home page title: "Sharma Sweets — Fresh Mithai & Namkeen in Vijay Nagar, Indore"
  • Service page title: "AC Repair & Gas Refilling in Satellite, Ahmedabad | Om Electricals"
  • H1 on home page: "Fresh sweets made every morning in Vijay Nagar"
  • Meta description: "Order kaju katli, rasgulla and festival boxes from Sharma Sweets, Vijay Nagar. Open 8 am–10 pm. Call or WhatsApp 98xxx xxxxx."

Keep titles under about 60 characters and descriptions under about 155 characters so they display fully.

A one-page checklist for your developer

  • Mobile-friendly and loads quickly on a 4G connection
  • NAP in the footer, matching Google exactly
  • Click-to-call and WhatsApp buttons
  • Embedded Google Map
  • LocalBusiness schema with opening hours
  • A page or section for each main service
  • FAQ section with FAQPage schema
  • HTTPS enabled
  • Google Search Console set up and sitemap submitted
  • The Google profile's website link includes a UTM tag

Common mistakes

  • Website built entirely of images — Google can't read text inside images.
  • Different phone numbers on the website and Google.
  • No mention of the city or area anywhere on the site.
  • Pop-ups that cover the page on mobile.

Frequently asked questions

Does my website need a blog?

Not necessarily. Clear service pages and FAQs matter more for local businesses than frequent blog posts.

Should each area I serve get its own page?

Only if you genuinely serve that area and can write useful, unique content for it. Copy-pasted city pages add little value.

Is a Facebook page enough instead of a website?

A Facebook page helps as a citation, but a real website gives you more control, better tracking and better information for search and AI.
