Real Estate Projects and Site Offices on Google Maps — What Builders and Brokers Can and Can't List

Google Business Profile rules for builders, real estate agents, project sales offices and model flats in India — eligibility, naming, categories, avoiding suspensions and generating site-visit enquiries.

Quick answer

A builder's or broker's staffed office — including a project sales office or site office open to visitors during set hours — can have a Google Business Profile. Individual flats or plots for sale or rent, and projects without a staffed office, generally can't be listed as businesses. Use the office's real name, a real-estate category, accurate hours, and photos of the office, model flat and construction progress; never create multiple listings for one project to rank for more searches.

What can be listed

  • Real estate agency office (staffed)
  • Builder/developer corporate office
  • Project sales/site office with staff during hours
  • Model flat/sample flat used as a staffed sales office

What usually can't

  • Individual properties for sale or rent
  • Vacant land or plots without an office
  • Projects listed many times under different names
  • "Virtual" project addresses without staff

Naming

Use the real name on signage: "Shree Developers – Sales Office" only if that's the signboard; otherwise "Shree Developers". Don't add "2 BHK flats in Wakad" to the name.
